About Dr. Joe Profit

“Real success isn’t measured by what you achieve alone, but by what you inspire others to become along the way.”

Dr. Joseph “Joe” Profit’s life story is a powerful testament to purpose-driven leadership, resilience through adversity, and generational impact. From the segregated streets of Monroe, Louisiana, to the upper echelons of business, sports, and national policy, Dr. Profit has consistently turned obstacles into opportunities—not just for himself, but for countless others who follow in his footsteps.

His journey began on the gridiron, where he made history as a standout collegiate athlete and became the #7 overall pick in the NFL Draft, signing with the Atlanta Falcons. A record-setting running back with a bright future ahead, his professional football career was cut short by injury. But rather than being defeated, he pivoted. He reimagined his path, rising as a powerful voice in the arenas of business, education, civic engagement, and spiritual leadership.

Dr. Profit is the founder and CEO of multiple multimillion-dollar enterprises—companies that have collectively generated over $100 million in value while creating economic opportunity, particularly in underserved communities. Through his firm, Transition Focus Group, he provides strategic business and healthcare consulting, helping clients navigate complex markets with insight, integrity, and innovation.

As a national leader, Dr. Profit has served on prestigious advisory boards, including the Federal Communications Commission, the Atlanta Federal Reserve, the U.S. Department of Transportation, and the International Trade Commission for Policy. He has also advised U.S. Presidents on economic equity and small business policy and remains a respected advocate for minority business development and youth empowerment.

A trailblazer in public service, Dr. Profit ran for Congress in Georgia’s 4th Congressional District, winning the Republican Primary and championing economic opportunity, education, and opportunity. Yet his influence reaches far beyond politics. He is the Founder and Chairman of Youth United for Prosperity (YUP), a thirty-year-old 501©(3) nonprofit foundation committed to mentoring the next generation through education, entrepreneurship, and leadership development.

Dr. Profit’s profile includes extensive service as a Trustee of the University of Louisiana-Monroe, Georgia Piedmont Technical College, and the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation of Georgia. He has also served in faith-based leadership as an ordained minister, sharing a message of hope, redemption, and perseverance.

As an author, his book “Fields of Success – Raised Expectations” chronicles his life and leadership lessons while underscoring values such as self-discipline, moral clarity, and spiritual conviction. He is currently completing Fields of Success 2.0 – Turning a Profit into an Unrelenting Pursuit, an inspiring continuation of his legacy in motion.

A dynamic public speaker, Dr. Profit speaks to audiences across industries, generations, and borders—delivering actionable insight rooted in real-world experience. Whether in a stadium, boardroom, classroom, or community forum, he exemplifies the belief that leadership is not about rising alone but about lifting others as you climb.
